Looks like you are still using full width bricks which are fine and long as you can make it work but probably will need to cut the width down as you go up and the radius of the dome gets smaller. You will know when you need to do this.

Hey UtahBeehiver, the bricks are already cut in half? they are about 105mm on the faces you see looking from the inside.

Think we are talking different dimensions, if your faces are 105mm roughly 4.1 inches on this side of the pond, you will probably need to cut the faces by 1/2 or 1/3s as you go up.

I would be trying half and half for the bond all the way through. If you look at mine I started too Cut the bricks to keep the bond. Towards the top they got to narrow so I crossed two bricks and then began to use grinder to shape the rear of the brick to maintain that brick to brick fit as the bricks get vertical

If you want come over and check mine out before I plug it perhaps after work one night now daylight saving is with us. It's much easier to see in real life than to explain in writing.
