Nice looking, very symetrical, almost there, this is where gravity is not your friend anymore.

I found that placing a single brick like shown in your photo, as the last brick of the day makes the next day easier to get the following row completed. I creates a nice anchor for the following day.

Very nice build and thanks for the extra photos. Nice tight joints.

Now I have a favor, re angles of the bricks in the last rows, if you could take some photos of the bricks being cut for these rows I would appreciate it. Do you have anything to measure the bevel angle being cut. I have been mulling this one over re dome sheet calculator and djc31 chart that Russell put on my thread. Something not quite working out right with the explanations I have of these.

I can take some pics no worriers but Ive just been winging it the whole build, none of my bricks are a like (though I try). Trial and era is how Ive got to this stage and theres been alot of bricks that hav'nt made it.

                  Hi Wayne

I'm only interested in photos of the bricks that make it hehehehe and the angle if you have a protractor handy winging it might be good for me hmmmmm less of a brain @#$% Naaaahah.

No seriously that is looking real good for winging it.

reason is I've been on holidays for some r and r and been studying deejays calculator and jcg31 chart and things weren't making sense. I have worked it out (I think) and waiting for clarification.
                  Cheers Colin

                      Hey Wayne

What size were the arch bricks you used ?
They look like 65mm from the photos.
                      Cheers Colin

55mm and if i had known that I had to cut both angle's off I would'nt have got them.

                          Hi Wayne

So are you cutting them back to square?

I'm using 65mm and not doing that they form my dome almost exactly [save for 1 course at 65mm and 2 courses @ 75] and save me cutting that angle any way allowing minimal mortar joints [I believe].

                            Colin,

Every build is different so the spreadsheet/table just gets in the ball park. I also remember near the last few course I used this process from Texman to help me refine the bevel and taper cuts. See if this help, I had to read if many times but finally the light bulb went on and I think I used this process for the last two courses.

I cut both sides but still leave some angle.

Your done well I wish it had been that easy for me.

Just had to redo the last coase my tool was off acouple of mm in length, causing the last coase of bricks drop down acouple of mm.
Long story short had to redo the last coase.
