Almost done withe the dome!

at this piont I tried to rub the mortar into the joins but It didn't work and I had to set the bricks one at a time.

I know it's not easy and too late now, but there are quite a number of coinciding vertical joins of four courses of bricks. I hope they don't give you trouble. Hopefully ok because the dome is stronger in the top half.

The view I'm getting now is the outside. What about the size inside? Would that be smaller than a brick? Get somone to hold a bit of cardboard up on the inside and copy from the top with a pencil and find out the shape and size ?

yep thats the idea ..though one brick on its end want fill the gap, Ill have to use two or three
