You are well on the way to smelling the pizza and the other good things. Looking good.

Re: New build in Sydney
Happy new year all!!!
No wife no kids got some stuff done, holidays are great in the aussie summer. Hot but not too hot. Cricket in the background. Good times.
My fire bricks for the oven are recycled from an old tiln so working them perfectly into postion is becoming quite a task, but over all quite happy so far with the build. Never used mortar for anything before this is a new learning curve.2 Photos

Got the dome arch kinda sorted, a few of the angles played with my head for a while. Nothing a little mortar wont hide later.2 Photos

Re: New build in Sydney
Had a bit of motivation and split some wood over the weekend, and started the arch. Moved about 3-4 tonne of wood on Sat with help from the family. Got enough wood for my two fireplaces and oven for quite a while now!!3 Photos

thanks mate,Originally posted by Lancer View PostSorry, thought I should say something besides "Looks good" though that was my primary message.
concrete didnt get poured, Sydney weather turned sour and it rained just when I needed to start. So laid turf instead! Next weekend.

Looks good...
I wonder what kind of base one of those big concrete drainage pipes would make? Of course there's the issue of getting it on site. Could knock a hole in it and finish the back for access to wood.

Nearly finished the forming for the suspended slab. Its a 140mm thick slab. 2400x1800mm. Should be big enough for a 40-42 inch.1 Photo

Re: New build in Sydney
yeah shes a biggun, maybe a little too big, but you can get 5-6 kids in this thing and they all have fun!Originally posted by Lancer View PostI have trampoline envy Brendon, that's a nice one. Want something like that for the kids with the sides so they can't hurt themselves.
