I have finally closed the dome and now started on the decorative arch and chimney. With the flue is there a minimum diameter reccomended? I can get my hands on a double skin one with an internal measurement of 80mm or a little over 3".
here is the required PIC of me inside the oven too.

James, I think that you need to have an 8" diameter chimney. Up to 36" needs a 6" diameter. I know that 3" won't be adequate.

I have now finished the decorative arch and insulating render with 50mm(2") of perlcrete. I will leave it now for the next couple of days and start firing it either this weekend of early next week. Does everyone think this will be enough time? I read the sticky post on curing and am not quite sure on the first fire being newspaper only. ow does this get any heat into the bricks, wold it not be better to use at least a few small sticks?

Use what you folks in the southern hemi called heat beads. I learned this from an old timer from Coffs Harbour named Karangi Dude. It is a way to start the curing without the risk of spiking the temp that can happen with a wood cure. On top of that, you can BBQ something at the same time. With heat beads you can get in the 200-250 F range.

+2 on the heat beads and enjoying your first WFO food while you are drying out your oven. This is probably a no brainer, but don't use liquid starter . I used a charcoal chimney and a little news paper to get my first couple of batches started. After that, you can use a few of the live coals from the oven to start the next batches.

A lot of WFOer's would give their eye teeth for wood access like you. If ya got it use it But you would only use heat beads during the initial cure then onto wood (which sounds like you have a lot of).
