Thanks Dave, I am happy with the project but I still have not finished installing the faux stone on the back side. Once I do that I will grout between the stones and then I will be very close to being finished.
        Take care,
        Brian

It's been some time since I posted anything. I only have a couple of things left to finish but I'm busy with other priorities lately. Not too busy to get the oven going once in awhile. Last night we roasted some vegetables in the oven. The one pan has brussels sprouts cut in half that were dipped in grape seed oil and then seasoned with a garlic and herb mix. The other has sweet peppers, onion, and cauliflower mixed with the same.

Brian, your build was the first one I read about and it was what got me excited to start building an oven of my own. It's taken me a long while to get where I could start but I finally have. I'd love to see, as we would all, some pics of your completed oven/outdoor kitchen. I remember seeing you putting some good skill into your work.

Attached are some updated photos of the kitchen. I uncovered everything and got it all cleaned up for mothers day. We had the whole family over for a morning brunch. I made the breakfast pizza for the brunch with egg on top. I found cooking the egg first before placing on top of the pizza worked well for me. There were no complaints.

Stunning! You build is outrageously beautiful! Am I wrong for thinking you were going to put a kegerator in at one time?

                      Hi okn,
Thank you and I hope you are injoying your oven it turned out really nice with great heat retention. As for the kegerator my wife wanted to put one in. I on the other hand like a variety of beers and put in an outdoor refrigerator instead.

Brian - If I was only allowed one word it would be "Awesome". That is a great job and you should be justifiably proud of your work. If I was allowed another word it would be "Inspirational".

                        Congratulations.
                        Cheers ......... Steve

Thanks Steve, I appreciate the kind words. I have been working on this project since 2011 and I have two things left to do. I want to build a second door for front of the oven, so I will have the metal door to close up the dome area and a wooden door for the front of the entry. I also need to make a door for the back side of the stand to close off the storage area.
Then I should be completely finished.

                            • Looks awesome Brian! I love the lights under your roof. Do they help to see the food as it's cooking?

                              • Hi Alex. No, there isn't enough light to see inside the oven but it does illuminate the landing. When the fire isn't enough for me to see clearly inside the oven I have my trusty flashlight. The light under the roof is a strip of 24volt LED lights they work great.
