It drove me nuts too! So, I made a one meter oven. I used a one meter stick and measured everything with it. made it simple for me.Originally posted by fnbroken View PostConverting everything back and forth is driving me nuts!

If you are thinking about building a brick oven, my advice is Here.
I try to learn from my mistakes, and from yours when you give me a heads up.

Metric so much simpler than imperial, because it uses decimals rather than fractions. Also length, area and volume directly related. Eg 1000 cm3 = 1 litre. Try converting 1000 cu inches to cu ft or gallons, not easy.Kindled with zeal and fired with passion.

According to Wikipedia, "The metre was originally defined in 1793 as one ten-millionth of the distance from the equator to the North Pole." I think it was the ideal size for a pizza oven
PS, I worked in aerospace and everything was in decimal inches - we never used fractionsMy build thread
