Slight crack in stucco

Hey Team, I need your expert advice if you have moment. I made an oven for a friend and he was impatient in the last stages and that lead to me rushing the last bits somewhat. I have a small crack in the outer dome and was wondering how to repair it so it doesn't look ugly. I was thinking an angle grinder to open up the crack down to the vermiculite layer then re stucco that section?? would that work?

It should work as a repair, but it will certainly be visible.

You could paint the dome once you have done the repair. That would also add an additional layer of waterproofing to the oven. Not sure if the oven is in the open or under a roof.
