Looking great. This is a very exciting build to watch. What do you mean by anti-gravity additive?

You mean your masonry supplier doesn't stock that ? How do you get your mortar to stick on brick standing straight up? lol

I built my oven on it's side and then flipped it upright. Just kidding. By the way you can tell that you are building an abnormally large oven when you have to climb on top of it on your hands and knees to be able to lay the brick.

So...you have an "oven flipping jig"? I could not source one of those anywhere on the internet. Thought of building my own from car axles, wagon wheels and a telephone pole (from the Popular Mechanics plans...'Build a Giant Johnson Bar in your Backyard'; july 1953), but ran out of time...

You have done a nice job of framing the ceiling area, that should showcase the oven nicely.

Those cables are thermocouples, K style..buried at different point on the dome and 3 different depths, shallow(closest to fire) heat, mid brick heat and just under the perlcrete insulation to read "deep" heat.

Nice! It is going to take you a month to get it heat saturated. but after that...

564 full brick, 350 of which were newer brick, the rest were larger, old stock 10 inch bricks, 104 half bricks. The dome is now parged to a full 10 inch thick thermal mass.
