I painted my oven with an acrylic render. I now have some hairline cracks in the render, started small, bit of rain, fire, and then bit wider and more cracks appeared. I am considering putting tiles ontop of this acrylic render. Is this possible or I need to somehow remove the acrylic render first?

Tiles over Acrylic render

Most good tile bedding compounds will stick like you know what to just about anything. I've tiled over old tiles, over smooth terrazzo, even over a wood floor. Tiling over an acrylic render should present no issues, providing the substrate is not moving and the cracks are (now) relatively stable.
