Hi all,
just getting started collecting required supplies for a build way beyond my skill set, but sadly we have fallen in love with the design where the chimney appears to be centred over the dome.
A bloke from Florida, Lee McNeil, has produced a brilliant couple of videos we recently discovered that incorporates a smoker box. That is not our intention, however we have settled (for better or worse) to attempt to build along his design with a centred flue/chimney.....and already we are lost haha
The issue, or question is that I can't find (may be having a blokes look !! ) what type of flue material will be suitable to be set between the inner and outer brick domes ? Lee used a clay flue pipe cut in half lengthwise, but thus far I am unable to find those here in Queensland, or Australia for that matter.
Could anybody please advise if Stainless Steel Flu will stand up to the test of time, or another locally sourced solution ...sub tropics not well known for its flues
Thanks ...
