Can I use inulated firebrick?

Almost ready to set the oven floor.
can I use insulated firebrick as the insulator between the oven floor and my cement slab? I did not insulate the slab, its just 6" of concrete.

You can, but you need about 4" thickness of them if I remember correctly. The insulation value should be about the same as with vermi/perlcrete.
