Here are some photos he sent me.

        The stamped brick is 9 x 6 x 2 1/2. Is that good enough.

Yes, you will have to do some cutting anyway, not many on this forum use full bricks to construct their domes. At .85c a brick that a good buy, jump on it if you can afford, or make an offer to see how low he will go, if you are ready to buy.

You're have to make the offer with the seller. So, you're trying to save about .9cents a brick? Why not .20 cents per brick, but if all fail be willing to pay the full .85c, which is still a fair bargain.

Im sorry, he accepted $250, but i think i can get him to go lower, My question was will 325 bricks be enough? i plan on laying some on the floor of a grill which i plan to build. I think about 270 bricks go into a 42" oven? am i right?

Re: Super Excited to start new project

I found very minimal info on these bricks, if you look at the craigslist add, the brick says Aladin 80. Is that the Manufacture? .

                      http://jjmedina.com.ec/HW132_High_Al...k_Brochure.pdf

ALADIN? 80 An 80% alumina brick produced from imported
calcined bauxite. Has good hot strength, predictable reheat
expansion characteristics, and good thermal shock resistance.
Can be used in the lower calcining and cooling zones where
                      greater refractoriness is required.

They look alot like the bricks I used in my build which were 9 x 5.875 x 3 which I cut in half and used on my dome and arch. Look at my picture log.

80% Alumina, Ouch! I believe that I could have finished my oven with just one blade had I not have tried to cut a 70+ alumina rotary lime kiln brick for my retainer wall .
