    That sound great and is also interesting, although those figures can only be a guide as so many factors will come into play depending on things like ambiente air temperature, moister content, how long the oven is heated, if the fire is still going when the door is closed etc….

      We're not in disagreement. The temps I stated were oC. I should have specified.

        Had a very long wait for the quartzite to get fabricated and installed before I could render the dome but it's finally done. Started the curing today. The floor turned out to be very sturdy so happy I went this direction instead of the extra work of a poured in place slab
