    wow, that's the effort of a weekend? Impressive! It took me...oh...about five months to get that far. ;-) You'll be cooking in no time!

        I put one layer of brick outline and pourd in vermiculite and portland cement,then put fire brick on top. Built arounrd floor.

                        Don't fire it up too soon. Keep all the portland cement based concrete parts damp for at least a week. Two weeks would be better. In three weeks it will reach most of its potential strength.
