  • to light the dome is it possiable

just got the go a head to start the dome

thought i might try to light the dome

thinking if i put a glass title / lens at the top

with a sleeve then a lamp and socket at the top
so i can change the lamp

if it don't work i can go back and take it out and close up the dome

You might want to consider putting it in the side. The dome is the hottest part of the oven. Check out post # 43 on Re: 81 inch First Build under the commercial oven section.
    Seems like that may work.

why not do as I did, mounted a couple of domestic down lights in my chimney void (as it is quite large) but I also mounted some plastic LED lights on Hendos oven outside the outer arch where the light is beamed into and across the oven opening. They work a treat and I wouldn't consider anything else.
I have duplicated the pics from my Pompeii build to show the difference with the lights.
They need a wipe with a moist cloth once a year, usually when cold.
          Cheers.
