Thanks Chip, guess I am stuck with these doors for while, but will keep it in mind when replacing. I will cut up wood into smlaller pieces, thanks for your input

      hi pat,
For some reason been missing your progress. Decorative brick looks nice. Enjoy the oven.

        Hi Pat,

After every firing of your oven throw some of your wood in there to dry, be sure to clean it out and that it below 500 degrees, you can leave the door off so the air will drive off the moisture.

              Re: Pat's 42" WFO build begins...I think!

Been a while since I posted some pics of outdoor kitchen, built the cabinets over the winter in my basement then hauled them out in March. So far they are mounted, permabase is on, granite over lay is complete and stone is about half way. All should be completed by June 1st, and I will be so glad, this has been a long project, fun at times, frustrating at others, but I cannot wait to have it all in service and fully functional. I skipped the fridge since the walkout basement will have one 18 ft away, we will have a 60000 btu power burner for boils blackening and wok cooking, a green egg for smoking grilling ands last but not least the pizza oven. For storage I have 2 30 inch double doors, a 19 inch for egg, which allows access to vents for adjusting and clean out, and also for below storage of egg tools, a 3 drawer storage, AMD a roll out garbage. Would have loved to have a sink, but couldnt come to terms and cost of adding one in our climate, but I did add a set of cabinets and sink to basement so dishes can be cleaned up with a small walk.

Really would like to thank all the fine folks on this forum, could have never pulled this off without all the help, all posts and pics that everyone took the time to put on line. Many thanks for all who helped a knucklehead like me make his dream kitchen come true, any who is lurking on the fence, if I can do it, you surely can

                            OK that is COOL!!!

I think you went a little over the "Can I build an oven for less than $1000.00?"

But it was truly worth it.
