      Thanks Bartman.

We were pretty fortunate, the fire started about 3 miles north of us, but the entire week we had winds from the south, so the fire/smoke was blowing away from us (and most of the Colorado Springs city limits). Needless to say, I didn't get much done on the oven for a few days.

Re: 36" oven in Colorado Springs (tools

In case anyone's interested, here are the main tools I've been using.

Bucket with small square trowel, and the useful item is a paint stir stick, to mix the mortar, then for the used ones, I cut of the other end and use them as a "mini" trowels for the mortar lines, etc.

Then of course, building a WFPO is a lot easier using a 10" wet saw and grinder.

yeap, today was a productive day, got the 10th course complete too!

and, this morning I picked up some free wood (from a guy on craigslist), which included a fair amount of wood from a cherry tree a he cut down.

plan on doing the 11th course tomorrow, then plugging the dome on Sunday(or at least creating the plug).

Beats me. I'd have to give that question to my wife, if you're wanting to find out how!
