I see the pizza peel got it's first tour of the oven. Albeit a practice tour.

I really like you brick work. I've seen your sketchup of your chimney.....Looks familiar. I going to need some encouragement to attempt a full brick chimney.

Stuck in another rain delay here...... bummer

oops, thought I read this forum enough, but didn't realize I was supposed to get a pic of that. I did most of the work while the wife was at work, so no one to take the pic....

Re: 36" oven in Colorado Springs (cure #1)

decided to throw a couple sternos in the oven and see how hot we get. kept them in there for about and hour and got the oven up to about 125 deg.

Looks like you are ready for wood! Your floor is still too clean!

will get some inside pics once I have time to clean up the inside.

put up a couple sides of the enclosure to see if it was easy or hard, and to see how it would turn out. just hardiboard and metals studs, wasn't too hard.

Re: 36" oven in Colorado Springs (ceramic fiber blanket)

cutting and installing the ceramic fiber blanket, fairly simple and straight forward.

I think I have about 3" of blanket all around the dome. Will include loose vermiculite when I complete the enclosure.
