  • Re: 36" oven in Colorado Springs (grill and counter)

put some temp doors below the grill. On the back side of the grill, the mason put a few bricks soldier style, for venting.

sink (not plumbed) and counter, just using the sink for an ice bin, gotta keep the drinks cold. also some "venting" on the back side.

and finally, a couple pics of the finished oven.

already had a trial run where we made 12 pizzas, then followed by a sat night party for friends and family, made 44 pizzas that night, and was a great success.

and since we wanted to challenge the mason, we decided to do some additional brick work detail on the back of the oven. we think it turned out great!

there are no doors on the back side.
the venting is mostly for the gas grill, and then just general airflow (prevent moisture buildup).

Just checking back in, as you can see we've been firing up the oven and getting used to making great pizzas!

It's been a while, been having good pizza in the mean time!

Just wanted to share a nice photo of the WFPO all tucked in for the winter.

What type of roofing did you put on your enclosure?

It's actaully poured concrete (in a shop, then delivered and sealed into place), like the concrete counter tops, but just not as thick.

The concrete roof pieces didn't turn out quite like discussed/promised, so the manufacturer is going to replace them (probably in the spring time).

                        Thanks,
                        Dana
