I think it's dipped and then oven baked. I don't know about engine paint would it be hard to spray the inside of a 6 in steel tube. I now have a mental picture of someone's arm up the elbow in a steel tube with a spray can. Recon one of those gloves that they use to inseminate cows. I'm not letting this thought go any further.....

Lol, oh the inside yes. Ive actually used this product it works well. But as far as baking the heat from the oven should bake it on i guess?
