Well I finished the dome today...

Not much to write home about....
but she is done.

boy, those last few courses were brutal

and the keystone...... lol... luckily I had one from previous cuts that pretty much fit right into place.


I will post some pics tomorrow... I sure didn't end with a circle course, and I had some bricks that didn't quite meet inside.... but she's mine!

Ahhh... The universal dilemma! I've been flying the last several days and our poor oven has just been sitting there wondering where I've gone.

Yeah, it has pretty much turned into a weekend only project.

I would of already started back working on the oven, but the days are getting shorter and I just don't have enough time to do much after work.

Yeah, its quite a workout. I get aching legs from climing up and down (and up and down and up and down...) the hearth all day long. I mean arms and back I expected. But legs???
