    Almost! Almost!! ALMOST!!!

Nice work Dusty, are you actually inside the dome in that pic? Or are you leaning over from the other side? If you are inside, if that were me, it would be back to 4" high - from me knocking it all down from climbing out.

Dusty, I am so very happy seeing the dome just about complete. Do you believe you will have the dome done during the week? That would have you curing right after Christmas. Get the extra paper, twigs, small, repeat, small logs for the oven curing process....and be PATIENT. 100 to 800. Those bricks I picked up Friday were perfect.

Yea, I'm in there. Probably the last time. The bricks are safe once I'm inside, but getting in and out without knocking down a brick or five is a real chalenge.

Sorry Dusty, I left your number behind. I had the moment to spare and decided to jet down there to do it. I looked at what I needed to do, especially with this being storm week. I was telling JC Jim that my tent is a tight fit for me when working on the oven. I have been cutting and placing the solder course, as well as the arch wall row one. Almost done with that part. I will likely mortar them Friday. I really want to get the arch wall and solder done by this weekend. If I can get that done, I would like to get courses 2-4 next week.

Still, I have a question -- how do you cook pizza in a 4" high oven. :-)

Dave, I have given into the dark side -- embrace your cracks.

              Be nice Jimmy. Also,that's bullshit!!
"Given in to the Dark Side" .hahaha. And so are your mates in what is currently 'on the Dark Side', (astronomically speaking, naturally), so much more gullible than we 'Down Unders'? I think not.

As to your question re 4" oven.
Mate, you crouch down, and work both quickly and deftly. [Comes easy with practice].
Strewth. And here's me thinking I'm coming to the pinnacle of earth cooking ..

I have been working on the oven a bit, but with the holidays and everything else, I just haven't found much time to sit at the computer (or anywhere else!). Fact is, I'm almost done. I finished course 12 or 13 (lost count) today and I am half way done with the final course - then the keystone and wa la!
I'll try to get some photos.

                  Happy holidays everyone

I did it!!! Woo Hooo. Finished final course and made the keystone. I will set it tomorrow night - Christmas. Every bit as exciting as I thought it might be. As you can see in the pics.

                    Merry Chrismas everyone!

Great work Dusty! Congrats. Your dome went up quick, huh? I can't remember, is your entryway completed?
