I'm getting ready to cast-in-place my counter area in front of the oven. I was thinking 12" across the full width of the structure, but wanted to hear good/bad experiences before I go down that road.
I like the idea of a deeper counter, but will probably do the bulk of prep on a rolling stainless prep table. My thinking is people can build their pizzas without being in the way of the oven.
Would anyone recommend skipping the fixed counter?
