  • Good countertop size

    I'm getting ready to cast-in-place my counter area in front of the oven. I was thinking 12" across the full width of the structure, but wanted to hear good/bad experiences before I go down that road.

    I like the idea of a deeper counter, but will probably do the bulk of prep on a rolling stainless prep table. My thinking is people can build their pizzas without being in the way of the oven.

    Would anyone recommend skipping the fixed counter?

    Most people find it more convenient not to have any couter space directly in front of the entrance as it makes access into the oven more difficult and more difficult to manipulate the pizza.
