Aussie Mobile base oven

Hi all added kaowool cloth to dome wraped it in wire lath then added the last laters of vermicrete.Overall thickness came out not bad 6" on top gradually tapering off to about 41/2 to 5 " around the sides.Also made a peel from a old 12" pizza tray just need to make a ash scoop and brush.

G"day all spent sunday putting the ceramic cloth under and around the
flue then covered it with wire mesh.Sorry no photos ran out of batteries,
also put on the first layer of 7to1 vermicrete insulation seems to be ok.

Thanks Frances it was easy to make and ive only seen a few wfo's with the square front,and i havent forgot the pics of the bending rolls will do it soon.

That's nice! I like the round inside arch with a square one outside, gives it a different look.

G'day all spent the my rdo fitting up the chimney,i decided to go for a square entrance with the bricks supported by 3/8 steel lintals,with the chimney clamped through to the lintals.i will be placing some kaowool under the chimney plate to take up any warping.

G"day frances i rolled the archway with a set of metal rolls i made when i used to make steel gates.if you like i can post a photo of it.
