    Ellie,

You and Dale are putting together a great looking oven.

You should be on to the next learning curve soon, "how do I use this thing?" and that is great fun also.

Well, Frances, we can't have any two timing going on between ovens! I do think yours is great! there are so many awesome ovens on here.

I think I'd fall in love too, if I didn't have a prior comitment to my own oven... it looks really lovely!

It has been raining here for a week. The first break in weather, and look what Dale has done.

I'm pretty sure I'm in love... Now, he says it is rough . I say it is beautiful.

That's one pretty oven opening! I love how he's arranged the bricks above the opening symetrically, too. Makes me realise, maybe these professionals do know a thing or two after all...

    Ellie,
Your oven looks wonderful. Dale did indeed do a great job putting all together very quickly. From looking at your second picture, I recommend you check the gaps between the bricks inside the oven. It looks like they might not all be completely filled with mortar. If that is indeed the case, ask Dale to fill them. The bricks should last longer and withstand the thermocyling better if the gaps are closed.

That brick tong is a seriously useful tool:

And while I was looking for it, look what I found:

A brick-set that might actually work! It has an adjustable stop so you can cut all your bricks the same. This might be a boon to our budget builders.
