Dave's cast refractory oven

Hi David. Apologies for bringing back up an old post but just wanted to check if you have any updates on the oven performance over time. I am about to start a build in similar circumstances and really like the look of your oven. I have a limited space for the stand - 1320mm x 1095mm, L x W, and am going to cast the dome. If I want to build and 850mm diameter oven, i I will have very limited space for insulation so wondering what layers you added?

Go to Other Type ovens, there are at least 3-4 cast ovens going on right now, play close attention to Nick JC build, he did some careful planning and design and his execution is quite nice and about the size you are looking at. There are some links to some other US builds in the section as well.
