  • Stucco Over Angle Iron

I have finished installing my oven and I am about to apply a stucco finish to both the oven and the stand. I have constructed the stand out of cinder blocks (as instructed in the FB oven installation manuals) and have used 2" angle iron to support the blocks over the opening for wood storage.

I imagine applying the stucco directly over the exposed metal angle iron will be a problem, as I am concerned that it will not adhere properly. Does anyone have any recommendations here?

You will need to apply lath over that area, and lap it well onto the CMU.

      Tscarborough,

Thanks for the reply. Any recommendations for affixing the lathe over the angle iron/ CMU?

      Much appreciated.
