Two questions

I am in the planning stages to build my 42" Pompeii oven. First, where/how do I find instructions to make the forms to create the dome(the forms the brick lay on as the dome is built)? Secondly, are their instructions how to make the "indispensible tool"?

Answers to your questions can be found simply by studying pictures of builds here on FB. You are free to copy/borrow/steal any/all designs, procedures, practices you see.

The rest, like mixing mortar or laying bricks on bond, is trial and error.

Google 'the indispensable tool' + Forno Bravo to get ideas.

At its simplest, for a straightforward hemispherical dome, the IT is a butt hinge, stick and L bracket.
Make sure that the bottom edge of the L bracket is no lower than the middle of the internal face of the brick, and, looking along the stick, make sure the hinge pivot point and the bottom of the L bracket are in line.
This is necessary so that you don't dislodge the brick when you lift the bracket.
If the L bracket is lower than midway, the bottom of the bracket will push the brick out when you lift the IT.

Use the plastic conduit as an arm instead. You simply bend it to remove it, far easier.

To form my dome I used a simple set-square. The technique can be seen here:

Just like the indispensible tool, it can be easily adjusted to suit any dome height.

Michael, I'm certainly no expert but you seem to be confusing two build methods, either of which will enable you to produce a WFO.

A Form build uses an internal support framework to support the bricks (or castable material) as you build. These forms can be made from wood or even expanded foam sheet; the trick is ensuring you can get them out after completing the dome !

The indispensable tool is a device anchored in the middle of the oven to ensure each brick is the same distance from the centre point, no forms are required as the IT swivels in use and is used to place each brick in turn.

Just to confuse matters even further, a pile of sand can be used as a form; and you can build a dome freehand (as I did, see link below), the choice is yours.
