    Also, v/pcrete roughly requires twice the thickness of CaSi or ceramic blanket. IE, "minimum" floor/dome thickness of CaSi board/ ceramic blanket (dome) is 2" so you need at least 4".

    Ratios are just the opposite. See attached. Perlite or Vermiculite what ever is easier to get. David S suggests a mix of the two., Click image for larger version

    Perlite vs Vermiculite. Use one or both?

    Under floor and around dome. What is preferred? Ive seen people use one, or both. Does it matter?

    5:1 ratio around dome 3-5 inches
    8:1 ratio under the oven floor 4-6 inches. Correct?



    What is the difference between these?
