          Hi Kellerman, I'm interested in how your oven performs using the storage heater bricks? I can get them relatively cheaply here in NZ, but wasn't sure. I intended using them for my floor then trying to buy fire bricks for the dome.

          Does it retain heat for slow cooking subsequent days?

            Bookemdanno from the UK did an oven with heater bricks in his floor. I have not seen him post in a very long time though.

              Hi John, It normally about 100 degrees celcius the next morning with the above blast type metal door on all night, I have another semi-air tight door , vermulite insulated etc that I'm yet to try but reckon would probably keep the temperature a lot better. Another plus is the storage heater bricks cut with an angle grinder a lot easier than the fire bricks.
