Well, it took a year or so, but I finally poured the countertops (they will dry to the same color as the wall). I will grind them down a bit, and move on to the pergola. I still need to caulk and paint the damned oven for that matter. Note to self: Next time do not make the oven usable until everything else is finished.

Why go to all the trouble of a 4-hr dome build and not be able to use it right away? You could have easily thrown a couple of pork shoulders in your finished oven at 228F and in the ten hours it takes to create pulled pork have the counters and tops built, poured, polished and sealed.
