That is almost exactly how my plans began (with the exception of the angle, I don't like metal in the mix). As I worked through it on paper and stacking bricks, I changed it to what it is now for both simplicity and for strength.

I was looking at your photos of your build and it looks like you used the plans from Radio as well. Are you happy with the oven? I really liked his design

Yep - I built the oven for my parents.

The only changes i would make would be to insulate it better so it doesn't take so long to heat up. (2-3+ hours)

It really needs more insulation under the floor, and some insulating blanket over the vault roof.

If you got both sets of plans - in the extra stuff you can see a backyard build where they use some blanket on the vault roof.

I would definitely do that if i had my time over.

Thanks, i might put more on the top, but since i have already layed the floor and walls i am kinda stuck
