Hi Guys,
so in a opportune craiglist moment I acquired bunch of yellow firebrick sized 2"x4"x9" (which i understans is somewhat strange size), came in a pack of about 400 pieces so now i'm all stocked up for my build. looking at builds of other members here i see that a lot of builders do lay the floor bricks flat to use as few as possible. while i have more then enough material to go with 4" thick floor i do visually like more how the floor looks when 4x9 face is up (planning on herring bone layout). so the question is what will i be missing if my floor is 2" thick?
thanks!
