Faith, I borrowed your avatar idea, though yours is much more beautiful than mine.

    Thanks Faith and Dave,
Yes, I have the carpenter coming today. I'm hoping to get the oven under roof and sealed...I can then work on the stone work and counter as time permits.

Faith, it is, but I love to cook. I figure that it'll be all about regulating temperatures.

    Gudday
Congratulation dome closed and you'll have it enclosed before the worst of the cold hits you've got to be happy with that
    Regards dave

Congratulations!!! What a great feeling to get that last piece in. Looks good.

I forgot to ask. Is this going to be your first time cooking with a WFO? Have you taken any classes or such or are you going in green learning as you go?

That was the biggest headache I had with my entire project, keeping it dry. I picked one of the wettest summer ever to build. We are 9" above average on the season. You'll sleep better once she's weathered in, glad your closing in on finishing.

Going to work on the enclosure, as I can't figure out how I'm going to do the test fires and still keep this thing covered. Have the carpenter coming out tomorrow to do the framing and durock for the enclosure...one's there's roof on, then I'll be happy

Maybe head into the kitchen and fine tune your pizza recipe while you wait.

I remember that feeling well, the curing fires really get the juices flowing. I enjoyed every one of them, knowing soon the pizzas would be cooking and other great roasted delights.

Ah, gotcha...I want to cure before insulating, so after I finish the dome, maybe I'll do the same

Yes I gave it some time... I gave it a few weeks to let the mortar cure and get all happy. During that time I finished other things around the outside of the oven.
