        G'day
It's pretty hard to be the first to answer your post.
Your angry and disappointed , but you'll find that as that cools it will drop back to position. It will probably open up again when the oven is heated again.
Will it fall down ? No! Will it cook as it should. Yes !
Its a wood fired oven, some do crack but they still work as they should. You have built a dome, one of the strongest things on the planet . It will even stay together with the heat trying to push it apart cause gravity pushes it back.
They are others that will have had the same.

        Regards dave

Artman sorry to hear about your crack, but it seams that is quite common. Thinking back perhaps you made a mistake mortaring first course to the ground?

Artman, you were on a high speed roll as well. All is not lost. If you want to see/read the pics and wisdom offered for such a dilemma then have a look at this.

You will realise that you are not alone and in fact there are probably more ovens with some level of cracking than not.
            Cheers ......... Steve

              Hi,
              long time no post, sorry.

My oven is finished, i insulating the dome (5cm of rock wool), cover it with cicken wire and stuco it. I installed the chimney.

The first pizza was perfect, taste of crispy crust, melted chess, and ham. Yust incredible, so incredeble that i forget to picture it. Floor was 320c or 640F and the dome was 420 c or 840F. Bake time 1 minute and half.
That day i bake 6 pizzas, and all was perfect and teasty.

Next day i bake in a ceramic pan a pork meat and the sliced potato, on top i put carot and onion. Potato was so soft and melty, and the pork, yust youuuhuhu. Njami. I youst forget to picture it. Sorry.

In saturday i have a party so i will post a pictures of pizzas.

Insulating in my oven is for mi ok, the oven stay hot 2 days. 1. day in morning 180 c or 360 F, 2.day 70c or 140 F.

The cold oven is prepered to cook pizza in 90 minutes of fire.

I also made from leftower wood a table and the bench.

Well done! Amazing what some good food can do to lift spirits. What size is your vent pipe? Looks a little too small. Is it too late to increase the size of it?

                  Hi,

GarnerAc - vent size, do you mean chimney, its 13 cm or 5 inch. Yes is to small but that pipe i have at home. I can resize it to 16 cm or 6,3 inch (maybe later). But chimney is 2.5 m or 8.2 feet hight. So the draft is ok, but after the fire gone and ther is alot of smoke, some goes throu the openings. no big deal..
