After almost 3 years, I finally lit my first curing first last night. We included the pizza oven in the overall plans for a greenhouse and patio and this is the final piece of the project. The FB plans and collective knowledge here has been priceless to put this all together. There’s still a ways to go between curing, installing the chimney, and rendering. I’ll add a build summary and photos here soon.

The first fire warms the oven...as well as the spirit. Congrats!

First pizzas tonight! I ran curing fires for about a week and a half and finally got things hot enough for pizzas. Temp readings at the top of the dome were about 800, but it didn’t actually clear yet. Pizzas took a bit long, but still tasted great.
Next weekend I’m planning to finish up the chimney and apply the final rendering coat. I’ll try getting it up to full temp then.

Well done! Try pushing your fire to the side rather than the back when you're making pizzas. It tends to work better as you don't run the risk of pushing your pizza into the coals. My 42" build: https://community.fornobravo.com/for...ld-new-zealand
