That's looking very tidy! I have found with mine that it's important to keep water off my floor bricks which come right to the outer arch edge. I'm making a second (outer) weather door at the moment.
I like your aluminium edge as the floor to wall junction was a concern for me with my oven too. Wish I had thought of that!
