I've already posted several times asking questions...many thanks to those who have graciously replied with valuable information based on their skills and experiences.
I wanted to go ahead and start a thread for my photos - and maybe if someone here has advice, a better idea, or any other comment, they'll chime in.
We have three teenagers, and so far this has been a great family project. Everyone has pitched in and helped.
I don't plan on doing anything fancy. The oven will have a two-level counter to one side (using granite scrap slabs). I plan to build a small (10'x16') pavilion style shelter in front of the oven, with a shed roof off the back covering the oven and counter tops. I also plan to run water and electricity - although not sure when that will happen.
I really like the under-stand drawer that I've seen on several builds (i.e. Gulf), and will probably do something like that. Will also probably incorporate some LED strip and flood lighting...strips for the counters and floods for the front of the oven.
Above photo is me leveling the ground for the slabs. As we are at the Southern terminus of the Appalachians, there is not much level ground around here.
