I looked at the plans and it appears that he is doing it the same way the plans show the pictures. I know he is following the size of the oven carefully, so it should be ok. It is really taking shape. I love the look of it already!!

Here is the dome. We are going to put insulation over this and more goop and then a layer of red paver brick. Now, I don't know what this will look like, but should give it enough insulation for sure

Nice job. Be sure to use plenty of insulation and then add more to that! You can't add it after you've covered it up!

A well insulated oven is a happy oven...

Thanks, I am pleased with it. The grill on the left is for charcoal or wood. The wing on the right is for storage and counter space and because it would look funny with just one side on the left and none on the right.
