      HOLY CRAP!!!

I've just read the entire build thread, your workmanship and attention to detail is spectacular. I'm blown away.

And now as you're almost finished you're leaving it

I can't wait to see what you do next.

Picked up the cedar shakes again, I should get a chance to pick away at it, and have it done by the middle of next week.

I finally found a few hours to start the cedar on the roof. I won't get any more time until Tuesday, but it's going along well and I should only need about 8 hours to wrap this up. Then lead flash the chimney, set the granite ridge caps and some trim under gable and that's

Side shot. Still learning the iPhone and iPad stuff...haven't figured out how to post normal pics. Stone work is a whole lot easier for me....

I'm still going to use the granite ridge cap, but I'm going to cut and carve a flat base plate out of granite for the cap to sit on. The flashing is going to be lead.

Thanks V. The cedar is another compromise, I really wanted to do the stone slabs.....I just have no time.

The stone would have looked great as well, but i think the cedar provides contrast/change from all the stone.
