        Re: Forno Bravo Expo 2010

        James,
I am keen to come across to the states and this is as good a reason as any.
I asked my wife what she had on 21/22/ Feb 2010 and I got the WHY comment.
She would rather "go to Disneyland" again as the Expo would be 'boring' for her.
So, I guess I will not be attending, but I would like to but with my wife rather than give her a trip to do just what she wants! Guess then that she won't get the trip. We'll see over the next few months as to what happens and I might find the time to come by myself.
It is a long way and expensive trip for a 2 day expo, but will look at what else I can achieve for the expense.
        Cheers,

        Neill

          Hi James!

I am sad... I am booked to fish in the Bahamas at that time and will thus miss a FIRST and an important FIRST Forno Bravo Fest! I do hope you will repeat this with some regularity. Annually may be too often perhaps but at least biannually - for given notice I would be there!

          Bake on!

James, we are in. Hopefully the snow won't make it impossible to get over the hill. I obviously missed your first post. Sounds like a great time and I am looking forward to meeting you in person.

You can't miss me Les. I'm the skinny guy with grey hair. :-)

There won't be any snow at the coast in February. With a little luck (touch wood), that can be one of the nicest times of the year here.

Here is the homepage for the Expo. I will post updates and let everyone know when to check back.

James, I hope to attend, but will have to play it by ear for a bit.

We're very interested. February would be a great time to leave Wisconsin! We would attend any time of year. My new oven is great and I'm at the perfect point to start learning more about oven cooking techniques. Thanks for thinking of the idea!

I would love to attend. Will be building a 39" oven in the first quarter of 2010

                          Hey folks,

We have published the registration page (finally) for FB Expo 2010. This is for February 20-21, 2010 in Marina California. We have commitments for presentation from Mary Karlin (wood fired cook book author), the Fire Within (wood fired portables), Bella Familia (wood fired catering), an excellent Pizzaiolo trainer, and Giustos Flour. The fee is $25.

We will be doing demonstrations from 11AM - 4PM on Saturday, and 10AM - 1PM on Sunday. There will be multiple presentations running simultaneously, and you can move from demo to demo over the two days.

I will be posting a schedule and travel and hotel recommendations next. It's getting close and we're getting excited, and we are looking forward to seeing everyone.

Except for maybe the "skinny part" I think you just described most of us.

I will be there and am looking forward to meeting all of you.
