Wow! You REALLY get a sense of just how massive this oven is from those pics of you standing next to it. Everything aspect to this point is amazing.
I'm really looking forward to hearing how this puppy performs, Wish I could be there for your first "scary" fire, it will truly be an inferno.

Is the word "massive" acceptable for this project ?
The tile work makes a large transformation in the appearance. I am anxious to see the final outcome of your hard work.

about half done with the tile on the interior of the shop;

working on the exterior Mexican tile, time out for a cold one;

got back to work over the weekend and the flue is done and parging with CA / perlite started.



way more parging...doing another 4 inches or so with the CA cement, then changing to regular portland for the remaining 8 to 10 inches of insulation.
