    Yeah, more brick and ties coming to buttress....

    Started flue, using split flue liners and firebrick..

    Looks good, but you probably need some more mass to buttress that arch.

    today I filled in behind the front arch and tied to dome with CA and perlite also creating the taper from front to rear arch..

    clear pic of the finished dome...still need to build a squirrel tail flue, outer arch and chimney...a little tile, presto...yeah right..

    Awessome build. After reading this build i have gained an interest in checking out some local commercial ovens even though they wouldn't of been DIY.

    all I can say is WOWWWWW, CONGRATS , thats a great undertaking for a self build ,that is going to take a big bundle of wood to fire , but once there it will stay hot for a loonngg time, man that is awsome, interested to see what type of chimney you have in mind for that beauty, brick built squirrell tail comes to mind? great job, almost time to curing and pizza / bread and a millage of goodies.

    It looks great on the inside. The older brick give it a lot of character. That oven will be a great calling card for your new business.

    Center frames came out this morning, lots of "grapes" hanging inside;



    last one....looks like a critter skeleton...


    chiseling grapes off inside..




    back to work...
