    Thanks, you have provided some great input over this forum. It has been very helpful. I will start my own thread this week posting my current build and my previous build.

    1 94lb Portland, 1 30lb fire clay, 1 50lb Lime...$50-$75 Enough fire mortar for 2 builds.

    Mix the heat-stop in small batches or lay bricks fast.

    My insulation costs were about $60 for this oven....but usually no more than $150-$175

    I'm glad you are saving a buck, but I'm not sure which link you mean...you sure it was me?

    I'm heading up to CT next week. I have a ton of stops, some of which my involve me picking up some soapstone. We are going to a bunch of WFO places in CT,MA and NYC...can't wait.

    Were are you in CA? I was born in San Diego but grew up in New England.
