Sorry for the confusion. I was looking at multiple treads. I build my first WFO in Temecula, CA, but I am originally from Worcester, MA and now live in northern VA.

1 94lb Portland, 1 30lb fire clay, 1 50lb Lime...$50-$75 Enough fire mortar for 2 builds.

Mix the heat-stop in small batches or lay bricks fast.

My insulation costs were about $60 for this oven....but usually no more than $150-$175

This is my first post, but I have just started word on my second WFO. Your link to skyline has saved me over $100 just on ceramic FB.

That oven looks great. As a fellow displaced New Englander, I know what you mean about "growing rocks."

I'm glad you are saving a buck, but I'm not sure which link you mean...you sure it was me?

I'm heading up to CT next week. I have a ton of stops, some of which my involve me picking up some soapstone. We are going to a bunch of WFO places in CT,MA and NYC...can't wait.

Were are you in CA? I was born in San Diego but grew up in New England.
